With strong synergies between the two companies, this union seeks to combine the key strengths, expertise and vision of both companies for benefit of their prestigious joint client base.

Wine Portfolio brings to the table an impressive list of on-trade clients - looking after a complete cross-section from wine bars through to some of the finest eating establishments in the country, together with a loyal base of private clients. The Cellaret, with its strong emphasis on classic fine wines and newly burgeoning agency business, serves a strong private client base almost entirely through a well-developed e-commerce marketing strategy. In addition, The Cellaret also has a significant number of independent off-trade and select on-trade clients. As a company renowned for generous stock holding and superb service, Wine Portfolio will continue to operate under the Wine Portfolio name - maintaining the same high standards and affording the same attention to detail as before. The Cellaret has employed all of the Wine Portfolio staff and is delighted with the capabilities and enthusiasm of the new team. Jeremy Randall, formerly Managing Director of Wine Portfolio, will be staying on with the new combined company in the role of Non-Executive Director. Wine Portfolio also brings to The Cellaret extensive new Central London premises, complete with tasting room and ambient wine cellar. Commenting on the success of the acquisition, Ray Dutton said: “The two companies are a perfect match, with virtually no overlap at all. In this instance, the whole really is greater than the sum of the parts! Our clients will be seeing significant tangible benefits from day one and we’re looking to the future with firm aspirations to extend our range of premium boutique wines and develop the agency side of the business” With well-stocked cellars and an ideal location, the company is well positioned to meet the needs of its clients with its ability to deliver stock direct from its own Central London facility. The Cellaret - combining technology with tradition.
