Teva Announces Launch of Generic Zoloft®

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA) announced today that it has begun the sale of its generic version of Pfizer s Zoloft® (Sertraline) Tablets, 25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg in the United States.

As the first company to file an ANDA containing a paragraph IV certification for this product, Teva has been awarded a 180-day period of marketing exclusivity.

Teva s AB-rated Sertraline Tablets are indicated for treatment of major depressive disorder. Annual brand product sales in the U.S. were approximately $3.1 billion for
the twelve months ended June 2006, based on IMS data.
